How To Throw A Traitors Watch Party: Games, Food And Cloaks

The Traitors is made for watching together. Turn the next episode or the finale into a party: dim the lights, hand out secret roles, put on the official cloaks and hold your own round table in the ad breaks. We've linked all our favourite official Traitors products below.

Some of the things we suggest here, including the official Traitors cloak, are sold by other shops, not by us. Where we link to them, we say so.

Before guests arrive

This setup suits eager hosts who love immersive drama and want to build suspense before the show even starts. Use these preparation steps an hour or two before your friends knock on the door to create an atmospheric castle setting. As a practical tip, dim your main overhead lights and rely on warm lamp light or LED tea lights to safely build that tense, secretive mood.

• Set up a 'round table' with candles and name cards.
• Lay out Traitors hooded cloaks for each guest — or ask them to bring their own.
• Prepare secret role cards: a couple of Traitors, the rest Faithfuls.
• Make a scoreboard for predictions.

Games to play along

These playful activities suit competitive groups of friends and family who want to test their own detective skills while watching the drama unfold. Introduce them throughout the broadcast, particularly during the commercial breaks, to keep the energy high. For a practical tip, keep a notepad and pen handy to write down everyone's initial accusations so nobody can secretly change their mind later.

• Predict who gets banished before each round table.
• Your own secret Traitors game running through the night.
• Bingo: 'I'm 100% Faithful', a dramatic cloak swish, a breakfast reveal.
• Play the official Traitors board game after the episode.

Castle food and drink

This rustic menu suits hungry players and spectators who need plenty of sustenance to get through a long evening of scheming. Serve these treats right at the start of the gathering so guests can graze happily without distracting you from the television. A helpful tip is to label your dishes with handwritten gothic-style labels to keep the grand Highland theme alive.

• A grazing board with breads, cheeses and meats.
• Red wine or a dark berry mocktail.
• Shortbread and tablet for a Scottish touch.
• Breakfast buffet if you're watching a morning reveal.
