80s and 90s Party Ideas: Outfits, Music, Food and Decorations

80s and 90s party ideas
Decades nights are the most reliable fancy dress theme there is, because nobody has to buy a costume - a headband and the right jacket will do.
We don't sell costumes - we make cards, badges and party bits in house, printed in the UK - so nothing below is a sales pitch for an outfit.
Below: outfits for both decades, the food and drink that make it feel right, and a running order for the evening.
Decorations for a decades night
Banners, cake toppers and confetti, designed in house and printed in the UK.

How to write it so it lands
- Pick one decade rather than both, unless you want two prize categories.
- Build the playlist before anything else - it carries the theme.
- Retro food is cheap; spend the money on the cake and the banner.
- Do the group photo at 7.30pm, before the karaoke.
