Buy party supplies: banners, cake toppers and confetti, posted with the card

Decorating a birthday party comes down to four things that actually get noticed: something on the wall, something on the cake, something on the table, and something the birthday person wears. Get those right and nobody misses the rest.

That's exactly what this page covers — happy birthday banners in rainbow, pastel, gold and pink, wooden and rose gold cake toppers, table confetti by the hundred, and a glitter sash and crown. All designed and posted from the UK.

Honest note on stock: we do sell large number birthday balloons, but not helium or fabric bunting. If you want a balloon arch, our guide walks you through building one with kit from anywhere — the banner, topper and confetti here are the bits we make ourselves and post with your card in one delivery.

How much of the party budget decorations take

  • Decorations here run £2.45 to £5 a piece, so a full table and wall set is usually £15 to £25. Shop this card
  • For comparison: hall hire is £10 to £35 an hour and a pub function room is normally free against a £250 to £500 bar minimum. Shop this card
  • Buffet catering is £10 to £35 a head and a served meal £35 to £80, so food is where the money actually goes. Shop this card
  • A DJ is £350 to £800, and a live band averages about £1,100. Shop this card
  • A 50-guest party lands around £900 to £2,400 all in, with decorations under 2% of that. Shop this card

What to buy first

  • One happy birthday banner for the main wall — it's the photo backdrop by default. Shop this card
  • A cake topper, so a shop-bought cake looks deliberate rather than last minute. Shop this card
  • Table confetti in one colour that matches the banner, scattered thinly. Shop this card
  • A sash or crown for the birthday person, so every photo makes it obvious who it's for. Shop this card
  • The card and a badge in the same order, so nothing arrives separately. Shop this card

Making it look planned, not thrown together

  • Pick two colours and stick to them across banner, confetti and cake. Shop this card
  • Hang the banner at eye level behind the food table, not above a doorway nobody looks at. Shop this card
  • Confetti works best sparse — a pinch per table beats a handful. Shop this card
  • Wooden toppers photograph better in daylight, glitter ones better under lamps. Shop this card
  • Do the decorating the night before; the day of always runs late. Shop this card

Party bags worth handing out

  • One good thing beats five bits of tat - a pin badge or sticker does the job. Shop this card
  • For adults, party bags land best as a joke: a badge, a sticker and a mini bottle. Shop this card
  • Skip the plastic; a paper bag and a sticker to seal it looks better and costs less. Shop this card
  • Write the name on each bag so the end of the night isn't a scrum. Shop this card
  • Buy one spare bag per five guests - somebody always brings an extra child. Shop this card
  • We don't sell pre-filled party bags, but our badges and stickers are what goes in them. Shop this card

Balloons and bunting

  • We don't stock balloons or helium — our guide covers arches with kit from the supermarket. Shop this card
  • A balloon arch either side of the banner is the cheapest way to fill a big wall. Shop this card
  • Skip helium unless you need floating clusters; air-filled arches last far longer. Shop this card
  • Paper bunting from anywhere pairs fine with our banners if the colours match. Shop this card

Frequently asked questions

What party supplies do you sell?

Happy birthday banners, cake toppers, table confetti, and a glitter birthday sash and crown. All designed and posted from the UK, and they ship with your cards in the same order.

Do you sell balloons or bunting?

Not at the moment. We make banners, toppers and confetti rather than balloons, helium or fabric bunting — our balloon arch guide shows how to build one with kit you can buy anywhere.

How many banners do I need for a party?

One is usually enough. Hang it at eye level behind the food or drinks table, which is where people gather and where the photos get taken.

Will a cake topper fit a supermarket cake?

Yes. The toppers push into any standard sponge or iced cake, which is the quickest way to make a shop-bought cake look like it was chosen on purpose.

Do you sell party bags?

Not pre-filled ones. Our pin badges and stickers are what most people use as the filler - one good thing per bag in a plain paper bag beats a handful of plastic toys.

Can I order decorations and a card together?

Yes — cards, banners, toppers, confetti and badges all ship together in one UK delivery, so you're not paying postage twice.

How quickly do party supplies arrive?

We post from the UK, usually the same working day you order, so most addresses have everything within a couple of days. Order a week ahead if the party date is fixed.
