Grandparents' Day Cards
Grandparents' Day falls on the first Sunday in October, making a card the perfect tradition for families. Our collection of grandparents' day cards features in-house designs printed in the UK on high-quality card and posted with a kraft envelope. Whether you want funny grandparents' day card ideas or a warm message to sit on the mantelpiece, we have options for every grandparent.
Our greetings cards for grandparent figures are blank inside, leaving proper room for your personal message or little handwriting. You can shop by name, whether you call them nan, nanny, granny, grandad, or grandpa, or select a card that celebrates both of them together.
Who our grandparent card designs suit
Our collection is designed to suit every type of grandparent. If you are announcing a new arrival, our Only The Best Mums Get Promoted To Nanny (Pregnancy Announcement Card) and Only The Best Dads Get Promoted To Grandad (Pregnancy Announcement Card) are wonderful choices. For television fans, we also offer the Only The Best Mums Get Promoted To Nanny (Friends Themed Cards) and Only The Best Dads Get Promoted To Grandad (Friends Themed Cards) editions.
If you are celebrating a grandmother, designs like our Happy Birthday Card for Nan with Bright Daffodil Illustrations or the Happy Birthday To My Lovely Nan / Nanny / Grandma (Happy Birthday Card) bring lovely warmth. For a major milestone, our Happy 90th Birthday Card For Nan is a perfect fit, which you can find alongside our other 90th nan birthday cards. We also offer cards originally designed for Mother's Day that suit this occasion perfectly, like our 5 Star Nan - Would Recommend (Mothers Day Card) and the Best Nan Ever Banner (Mothers Day Card). We even have seasonal options like a granny and grandad christmas card, including the Merry Christmas Grandad (Christmas Card For Grandad) and Merry Christmas Nanny (Christmas Card For Nan).
Grandparents' day card ideas and what to write
Because our cards are blank inside, you can write whatever feels right. Here are a few original writing ideas you can copy or adapt:
For a grandmother: To the world's best Nan, thank you for your warm hugs and endless support. We love you so much.
For a grandfather: Happy Grandparents' Day to the man who always lets me get away with the things Mum and Dad say no to. Thanks for being the best grandad.
For a combined card: To our wonderful Granny and Grandad, thank you for all the happy memories. We are so lucky to have you both.
If you are celebrating her birthday too, a card like our Happy Birthday Card For The World's Best Nan paired with a personal note is a lovely touch.
How to choose the perfect card
Think about their personality when choosing your grandparents' day cards. A floral design is ideal for a grandmother who loves her garden, while a clean typographic layout works well for a modern grandfather. Posting and delivery for the first Sunday of October
In the UK, Grandparents' Day always occurs on the first Sunday of October. All of our cards are printed in the UK and posted first class. First Class is usually next working day but is not guaranteed. We highly recommend placing your order several days in advance so your chosen card arrives in plenty of time to sign and deliver.
Complete the gesture with thoughtful pairing ideas
To turn your card into a complete gift, pair it with one of our relaxing candles, such as our popular hand-poured soy options. You can also browse our posters and prints or our wider range of gifts for a lasting keepsake they can display proudly. We make it easy to find everything you need in one simple order.
