What to Write Inside Your Appreciation Card
Finding the right words for an appreciation card can feel tricky. Here are a few simple starting points to help you write your message.
For a supportive colleague: I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out this week, as your support made all the difference.
For a close friend: Thank you for always being there to listen, as I honestly do not know what I would do without your friendship.
For a teacher: Thank you for all your patience, encouragement, and guidance throughout the term. You can find targeted cards on our cards for teachers page.
How to Choose the Perfect Gratitude Cards
When selecting a card thank you note, matching the design to the recipient's personality makes the gesture feel even more special. For a recipient who loves a pint of the black stuff, we offer the humorous Thank You! (This Calls For a Guinness Thank You Card) or the clever Tanks A Million (Guinness Themed Thank You Card), which you can find alongside our popular guinness cards. If the recipient prefers a touch of luxury, the Thank You Gold Foil Velvet Greeting Card (A6) makes a stunning statement. You can view all our pocket-sized, beautiful a6 cards online.
For sci-fi fans, the Yoda Best Multi-Occasion Greeting Card is a fun, nostalgic choice. When celebrating someone who has achieved something great, a bright design like the You're a Star (Thank You or Well Done Card) or the You're a Superstar (Thank You Card) adds a lovely sense of celebration. These can easily double as well-done cards for promotions. If you prefer classic typography, the clean design of our Thank You Card With Colourful Letters (Landscape) is a cheerful, versatile option.
Pairing Ideas and Post Timing
If a thank you card funny feels too small on its own, you can pair your card with one of our curated gifts. Teachers, midwives, or neighbours will love winding down with one of our beautiful scented soy candles, turning your card into a relaxing treat. Alternatively, browse our collection of funny gifts to find a little token.
All of our greeting cards are printed in the UK and posted First Class. First Class is usually next working day but not guaranteed, so we recommend ordering a couple of days in advance to ensure your appreciation cards arrive right on time.
