Christmas trees have spent far too long standing quietly in the corner looking tasteful.
Not this one.
This funny Christmas card features a festive tree that has clearly been invited to the Christmas party and taken the dress code very seriously. Complete with top hat, spotty bow tie, shiny shoes, candy cane and enough decorations to make subtlety completely impossible, this tree is ready for a proper celebration.
Above the illustration comes the all-important question: “Did somebody say party?”
Yes. Yes, somebody did.
Set against a soft pink background, the wonderfully overdressed Christmas tree is covered in colourful baubles and layers of golden tinsel, finished off with a smart black top hat. There’s even a candy cane in hand, because apparently turning up to a Christmas party dressed as a tree simply wasn’t festive enough.
It’s a brilliant Christmas card for the person who treats December as one very long excuse for a celebration. The friend who’s first on the dance floor. The relative who arrives wearing something unnecessarily sparkly. The workmate who has been talking about the Christmas party since September. You know the type.
Fun, colourful and suitably ridiculous, this card makes a cheerful alternative to traditional Christmas scenes and serious seasonal greetings.
Because Christmas comes but once a year.
You might as well put your top hat on.
