Chinese New Year Cards
Lunar New Year is a reunion holiday first and a gifting one second. Traditionally, children receive red envelopes filled with good wishes, while a thoughtful card is sent to the loved ones you cannot manage to see in person. This celebration is all about starting afresh, expressing gratitude, and wishing others well for the twelve months ahead. If you are looking to send your warm sentiments, a beautiful card is the perfect way to bridge the distance.
We want to share an honest note about our collection. We do not print zodiac animals, traditional red-and-gold designs, or Chinese characters, which is why we do not present this as a dedicated, traditional range. Instead, what you will find here is our high-quality celebration, congratulations, and gratitude range. Every single card in our shop is blank inside, giving you all the space you need to write traditional greetings like Gong Xi Fa Cai or simply a heartfelt, plain English wish for a prosperous year ahead.
Who Our Celebration and Lunar New Year Cards Suit
Our versatile collection is perfect for anyone wishing to send a contemporary chinese new year card to friends, family, or colleagues. If you want to thank a close friend or a helpful neighbour as the spring festival begins, our greetings are ideal. They are particularly suited for modern families who appreciate clean, stylish design over traditional motifs.
This range is also fantastic for colleagues and managers who are celebrating. You can send a bright message to your workplace team using our Thank For Everything You Fabulous Human Being design, or show appreciation to your manager with the World's Best Boss Greetings Card. For friends celebrating a new beginning alongside the lunar transition, we even have the New Home Card Featuring Keys & a Keyring (Personalised) to help them settle into their new space.
What to Write Inside Your Lunar New Year Card
Writing inside a completely blank greetings card offers the ultimate freedom to personalise your message. If you are sending a lunar new year card, you can blend traditional sentiments with modern warmth. Here are a few original examples of what you can write inside to inspire you:
Happy Lunar New Year! I am so grateful to have you in my life, and I hope this new season brings you peace, laughter, and great prosperity.
If you are sending a chinese new year thank you card to show gratitude for hospitality, you could write: Thank you so much for the wonderful celebrations and your warm hospitality. Wishing you a fabulous and prosperous year ahead!

Posting, Timing, and Pairing Ideas
All of our high-quality a6 cards are designed and printed in the UK on premium cardstock, complete with a matching envelope. To make sure your cards arrive in time for the festivities, we post everything first class. Please note that while First Class delivery is usually next working day, this is not guaranteed, so we always recommend ordering a few days in advance of the new moon.
If you want to send more than just a card, pair your lunar new year cards with one of our beautiful gifts. To help your recipient create a calm atmosphere, consider pairing their card with one of our beautifully scented scented soy candles. Alternatively, our fun enamel pin badges make wonderful, small tokens that fit easily inside an envelope. Sending a thoughtful package is a lovely way to show you care.
