The dates

  • Black Friday is always the fourth Friday in November. In 2026 that is Friday 27 November.
  • Cyber Monday is the Monday straight after. In 2026 that is Monday 30 November.
  • The weekend between them is now treated as one long sale by most UK retailers.
  • Most UK sales start on the Monday of Black Friday week and run to midnight on Cyber Monday.
  • Royal Mail's busiest stretch starts the week after Cyber Monday, so anything ordered in the sale still moves at normal speed.

Small gifts that work

  • Pin badges - cheap, flat, and better than yet another bath set.
  • A framed A4 print of something they actually care about: their dog, their town, their hobby.
  • A card plus something tiny beats a bigger gift with no card. People keep the card.
  • Postcard sets for someone who writes, or for a kid learning to.

Timing

  • Ordering on Cyber Monday leaves roughly three and a half weeks before Christmas - comfortable for UK post.
  • International post from the UK is already tight by 30 November. Allow two to three weeks outside Europe.
  • First Class is usually next working day; Second Class is meant to be two working days but can take up to five.
