Christmas Gift Guide UK
Share
Black Friday countdown
We design and print our own cards and prints in the UK and post them ourselves, so this guide is written from the inside. Where something isn't worth buying in a sale, it says so.
Most Christmas lists aren't difficult because of the big presents. They're difficult because of the fifteen small ones: teachers, neighbours, secret santa, the in-laws, the friend who says not to bother.
This guide is for those. Small, specific, and chosen for the person rather than the price bracket.

Hard to buy for
- The person who has everything - a print of something they love, which nobody else will have bought.
- The one who says 'don't get me anything' - a card that makes them laugh and a badge.
- Teenagers - pin badges for a jacket or bag beat anything you'd choose for them.
- In-laws - a candle is the safest good gift there is.
- Colleagues - keep it under a fiver, keep it funny, keep it flat.
Christmas gifts by budget
- Under £5 - a pin badge or a Christmas card with a proper message inside.
- Under £10 - a card and a badge, or an A5 print. Shop this card
- Under £20 - a candle, or an A4 print for the wall. Shop this card
- Under £30 - a candle plus a print, which looks like far more than it cost. Shop this card
What makes a small gift land
- It's specific to them, not to the occasion.
- It doesn't need storing - it gets worn, lit, read or hung.
- The card does the emotional work, so the gift doesn't have to be expensive.
- It arrives on time, which beats anything bought in a rush on the 23rd.
Delivery, honestly
- First class usually arrives the next working day, and we post on working days, normally the same day you order.
- Second class is meant to take two working days but can take up to five, so leave room for it in December.
- Working days run Monday to Saturday, and there's no tracking on standard letter post.
- Cards, prints, badges and candles all ship together, so one order is one delivery.
Prints that post flat
A5, A4 and A3 art prints, drawn in house and printed in the UK.
Pin badges, stocking sized
Enamel pin badges that post as a large letter and fill a stocking.
How to write it so it lands
- Buy the cards and the small gifts in the same order.
- Write names on envelopes as you go, before you forget who got what.
- Leave two spares for the people who surprise you.

Frequently asked questions
What are good cheap Christmas gifts in the UK?
Pin badges, small prints and a good card. Under a tenner together, and they don't feel like a token because the card carries the message.
When should I buy Christmas gifts?
Late November, over the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend, is the sweet spot: full choice, lowest prices, and weeks of post left.
What should I buy for a teacher or neighbour?
A hand poured candle and a thank you card. It is the gift most likely to be used and least likely to be duplicated.
What is a good example of christmas gift guide: small gifts people actually keep?
"The person who has everything - a print of something they love, which nobody else will have bought." is one of 17 examples on this page. Pick the one closest to the tone you want, then add a specific detail of your own - a shared memory, a date, a name - so it reads as yours rather than copied.
