Hen Party Gift Ideas for the Bride and the Group

We make cards, pin badges, prints and party bits in the UK. We don't sell inflatable anything, so this is a plain guide with our own bits only where they genuinely fit.

There are two gift questions on a hen do: what the group gives the bride, and what the bride or organiser hands out to the group.

Both work best small, personal and useful, and neither needs to cost much.

For the bride

  • A group photo album or memory book, filled in by everyone on the day and given at the end.
  • Something for the wedding morning: a robe, a good candle, a hangover kit for the actual wedding. Shop this card
  • Jewellery for the day itself, chosen by the maid of honour and cleared with the bride's mum.
  • A keepsake pin badge or print she'll still have long after the weekend.

For the group

  • Personalised tote bags with each guest's name, which double as the bag for the weekend.
  • A small favour bag: hangover kit, plasters, mints, painkillers and a paracetamol-level sense of humour.
  • Pin badges instead of sashes - cheaper, less embarrassing, and people keep them.
  • Printed game sheets and pens, which cost almost nothing and save buying a kit.

Under £10 each

  • A candle, a good chocolate bar and a handwritten note in a small bag.
  • Matching scrunchies or socks for the morning photos.
  • One decent miniature bottle rather than three plastic novelties.
  • A card for each guest from the bride, thanking them for coming. Costs least, lands best.

Frequently asked questions

What gift do you give at a hen party?

The group usually gives the bride one joint gift - a memory book, jewellery or something for the wedding morning - and the organiser hands out small favours to everyone else.

Do you have to give hen party favours?

No. A card and a game sheet is plenty. Favours are a nice extra, not an obligation.

How much should hen party gifts cost?

Around £5 to £10 a head for group favours, and a joint gift for the bride that splits to a similar amount per person.
